Objetivo y campo de aplicación Esta Norma Mexicana especifica los requisitos que son comunes a las normas de cableado para tecnologías de la información en edificaciones e infraestructura de uso comercial, residencial, industrial, salud, para centros de datos, entre otros. El cableado para tecnologías de la información especificado en esta Norma Mexicana es compatible con una amplia gama de servicios, entre los que se incluyen voz, datos y vídeo, que también pueden incorporar la alimentación de energía. Esta Norma Mexicana especifica: a) La estructura fundamental y la configuración de los requisitos genéricos de cableado dentro de los tipos de instalaciones definidos en otras normas o documentos técnicos; b) Los requisitos de desempeño ambiental y de transmisión de canal; c) Los requisitos de desempeño de enlace; d) Implementaciones de referencia de cableado vertebral; e) Los requisitos de operación de los componentes, haciendo referencia a las normas aplicables disponibles para componentes y métodos de prueba, cuando proceda; y f) Los procedimientos de prueba para verificar la conformidad con los requisitos de desempeño de transmisión de cableado de las normas aplicables. NOTA: Esta Norma Mexicana no contiene requisitos específicos de conformidad. Los documentos de diseño de cableado estructurado genérico incorporan los requisitos de esta Norma Mexicana como parte de sus requisitos de conformidad individuales. Adicionalmente, esta Norma Mexicana proporciona información sobre las aplicaciones soportadas por los canales de cableado. |
