| Objetivo y campo de aplicación El objetivo de esta parte de la norma NMX-R-12901-SCFI es describir el uso de un enfoque de control por bandas para el control de riesgos asociados con exposiciones ocupacionales para nano-objetos, y sus agregados y aglomerados mayores a 100 nm (NOAA), incluso si el conocimiento relacionado con su toxicidad y cálculos de exposición cuantitativa es limitado o inexistente. El propósito último del control por bandas es controlar la exposición con el fin de prevenir cualquier efecto adverso posible para la salud del trabajador. La herramienta de control por bandas descrita en el presente documento está diseñada específicamente para el control de inhalación.
